Tommy's is a gut bomb for some, but for me it is simply THE BOMB!!! When I'm visiting my family in L.A., this is on my list of places I have to pay homage to-- particularly the original Rampart location that I lived near and went to the most often growing up. Try this if you like chili and want something else to try other than In N' Out. ”

Their breakfast burrito includes sausage, hash browns, eggs, and chili and everything was cooked well; I actually really liked the scrambled egg inside! Awesome and friendly service. I came when there was a big order in front of me and I appreciated that the staff member acknowledged he'll get to me soon instead of leaving me just standing there. ”

Tommy's is a burger place, but it's much more. As far as I know, this is the original of the chain. They don't have a dining room and they don't have tables and chairs outside. You can either take it to go or you can eat there standing up against the wall with your food sitting on a shelf. That is how most of us prefer to do it. The burgers and dogs are served with chili. There is nothing quite like eating a chili cheese dog while standing up against a wall with Los Angeles traffic whizzing behind you. It's a staple of this city and one not to be missed. ”

“ Passed by Tommy's a few times and it was on my bucket list to try it whenever I am visiting LA. Saw that it was opened 24 hours and decided to get it for dinner. Ordered around 9pm and brought it to the hotel to eat it. My friend and I got a combo 1 (double chili cheeseburger) and a combo 2 (chili cheeseburger). The burgers come with the patty, chili, tomatoes, pickles and diced onions. The burgers and the fries tasted fresh and the chili hit the spot! Messy burger but it was definitely worth it! Will be back to get some Tommy's again whenever I'm in town! ”
